Established on Dec.09, 2001, China Animal Agriculture Association (shortened as CAAA) be granted the status of national corporate court creature by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of China. CAAA is a national-level shop composed voluntarily of enterprise, institutions and individuals busy surrounded by the animal agriculture or related industries. In appendage to the merging of China Poultry Industry Association, China Swine Industry Association, China Pasture Industry Association, and China National Kennel Club, CAAA expands business extent to cattle industry, sheep industry, rabbit industry, bee industry, special animal breeding, veterinarian, processing and trade of animal products, machinery of animal husbandry and biotechnology.

There are ten sub-associations underneath CAAA approved by the Ministry of Civil Administration, they are: Poultry Industry Association, Swine Industry Association, Sheep Industry Association, Pasture Industry Association, China National Kennel Club, Cattle Industry Association, Rabbit Industry Association, Bee Industry Association, Special Animal Breeding Association and Veterinary Association
